Quinoa For Breakfast

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup quinoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 T. coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 2 tsp. 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins (or dark raisins)
  • Slices of strawberries and bananas

Directions:

  1. Thoroughly rinse the quinoa in a strainer.
  2. In a pan, combine the rinsed quinoa, water, coconut sugar, syrup and cinnamon.
  3. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add raisins and simmer an additional 5 minutes,
  5. Place quinoa in bowls and top with strawberries and bananas.
