Apple Pie Porridge

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup gluten free steel cut oats
  • 1 cup no added sugar apple juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 T. coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 1 cup peeled, chopped apples

Directions:

  1. In a pan, combine all the ingredients except apples.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  4. Add apples and cook another 5 minutes or until your desired tenderness. (Don’t cook too long or your apples will turn to sauce).
