Colored Peppers and Sausage Over Pasta

Say hello to a new way to prepare and serve pasta.  Well, maybe it is not new to you, but it was to my family.  This pasta dish is now our favorite and far surpasses a jar of spaghetti sauce on noodles.  (That is still a dish that graces our table, though).    There is something about food allergies.  It expands your horizons.   Prior to food allergies I probably would not even have tried something like this; even though it is not that odd.   But if this looks or sounds like something you would not eat, I encourage you to … Continue reading

Must Have Pasta Salad

When I think of pasta salad I think “hot summer lunch.” But it does not have to be hot or be summer to enjoy a pasta salad. And it does not have to be lunch. It could be a side dish or salad to a meal. It could even be a snack. Pasta salads are a great way to get in some raw vegetables. And you do not really have to follow a recipe. Use whatever vegetables you want or have on hand. And all you need is a little dressing to pour over top. Or you can even make you … Continue reading

Pasta, pasta, pasta.  It seems like everyone loves pasta.  And being gluten free doesn’t mean you have to give up pasta.  I do not have to be gluten free, but I like to limit my wheat intake.   And I like to vary my diet.  I personally think too many people consume too much of the same foods over and over.  Switching out your regular pasta for gluten free pasta would be an easy way to consume less wheat and it would be the more affordable way to do so. (More affordable than say baking gluten free treats). So, take a look at the picture … Continue reading
