If you are reading this right now, this blog is for you!  If you love to cook, this is the place for you!   If you want to learn to cook, this blog is for you—just follow the recipes!  If you want inspiration in the kitchen, you found the place to go.  And this blog is for you if you have a few or multiple food allergies or sensitivities, including gluten, wheat, milk, egg, soy, sesame, peanuts, or tree nuts.  But even if you don’t have food allergies, you will still want to hang around and come back often.  A good portion of the recipes are easily customizable to fit your needs.    

Do you hesitate to buy a gluten free or dairy free product because you are not sure if they are any good and don’t want to waste money?  There will be product reviews for allergy free foods.

The food profiled here will be main dishes, desserts, baked goods, snacks, vegetables, salads, side dishes and whatever else I dream up!

What you will not find here is long, drawn out stories that take forever to get through to get to the recipe.  I’m a straight and to the point kind of gal.

What about the photography?  Well, I never realized how tricky it is to photograph food.  I’m learning, albeit slowly.  So bear with me while I learn and watch me improve.  And maybe check your color settings on your monitor.  I realized that that sometimes drastically changes the look of food.

    So would you say that this is the only non- hydrogenated shorting that is out on the market?

      Since you posted the question on the “about the blog” page, I’m not sure what you are asking. If you are asking about the Spectrum shortening, I can’t answer that.
